Connect Meta Ads

Authorize Meta so Clakta can sync your campaigns, ad sets, ads and spend — including how to connect an account you do not have access to yourself.

Connecting Meta pulls your campaign structure and daily spend into Clakta. It is the first half of measuring Meta performance; the second half is tagging your ad URLs.

Connect

  1. Go to Project settings → Ad accounts.
  2. Choose Meta Ads, then Connect account.
  3. Click Connect with Facebook and complete the Facebook authorization dialog.
  4. Grant access to every ad account you want Clakta to read.

When it succeeds the dialog shows Connected and your ad accounts appear in the list.

Connecting an account you do not own

Common for agencies and for anyone whose ad accounts live under a different Facebook login.

In the connect dialog, choose Share link. Clakta generates a one-time link you can send to whoever does have access. They open it, click Continue with Meta Ads, authorize, and the accounts land in your project. They never need a Clakta login.

The same link works if you simply need to authorize from another browser where the right Facebook account is signed in.

What gets synced

  • Campaigns, ad sets and ads, with their names and status
  • Daily spend, impressions and clicks
  • Platform-reported conversions and revenue
  • Ad account status — active, disabled, unsettled, pending review, grace period, closed

Spend is converted into your project's currency using daily exchange rates.

After connecting

Connecting alone gives you cost without conversions. Go to Tag your ad URLs and run Set up UTMs — for Meta, Clakta can write the tracking key into each ad's URL parameters automatically.

Then open Ads Manager → Meta to see campaigns with both platform-reported and Clakta-attributed metrics side by side.

Managing connections

The Ad accounts page lists each connected profile with its accounts. From there you can:

  • Toggle individual ad accounts on and off, to keep the Ads Manager focused
  • See the UTMs configured count per account
  • Remove a profile entirely, which disconnects it and stops syncing its data
