Dashboard presets

How saved dashboards work: start from a template, what a preset saves, who sees it, and how many you can have.

A preset is a saved dashboard: which widgets it has, their size and position, and the sections they are grouped in. The dashboard shows one preset at a time.

Presets belong to the project, not to the person who created them: everyone with access to the project sees the same list. Owners and Members can create and edit them. See Members and roles.

Create a preset

Presets → Create preset offers seven starting points, with a preview filled with sample numbers:

The template is only where you start: you can resize, move, customize or remove any widget afterwards. A project's first preset becomes its default.

Switch presets

Click Presets or press ⌘P (Ctrl+P on Windows and Linux), then pick a name. The active one has a check. The star next to a name makes that preset the default, the one the dashboard opens on.

The link in the address bar includes the preset, date range, filters and currency, so if you copy it and send it, the other person opens the same view.

What a preset saves

Only the widgets, their sizes and positions, and the sections. The date range, filters and currency are remembered by each browser, so two people on the same preset can look at different periods. The attribution model is a project setting, and changing it changes what every preset shows.

The dashboard only loads data for the widgets in the preset, so a preset with five widgets opens faster than one with thirty.

Add widgets and sections

Add, top right, opens the widget list, and the arrow next to it has Add section. Both save right away.

Each widget has its own menu, from the icon in its corner or by right-clicking it:

Customize changes how it looks: limits that turn a number red or green, legend position, bar direction, which table columns show.
Move to section sends it to another section.
Remove takes it off the preset.

Deleting a section doesn't delete its widgets: they move to the top area, so nothing disappears by accident.

Rearrange

Edit (Shift+E) unlocks the layout. Drag a widget's handle to move it, and its corner to resize it. Save (⌘S) keeps the changes and Cancel (Escape) puts everything back. Positions are saved per screen size, so a layout made on a wide screen adapts to smaller ones.

Rename and delete

The gear on a preset's row opens its settings, where you can rename it or Delete it. Deleting only removes the layout: your events, orders and data stay the same.

Editing a preset changes it for everyone

Presets belong to the project, so renaming, rearranging or deleting one changes it for everyone with access. For a view of your own, create another preset, if your plan has room.
